The South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust (SEHSCT) now live on ELMS2

Ethitec are pleased to announce that another service in Northern Ireland has chosen to implement their ELMS2 system. The rollout of ELMS2 to the community equipment and continence services managed by the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust (SEHSCT) was completed in November 2023.

SEHSCT is an integrated organisation incorporating acute hospital services, community health & social services that serves a population of approximately 350.000 people. The Trust covers the local government districts of Ards, North Down, Down and Lisburn. The Community Nursing Equipment and Loans Service (CELS) provides equipment and products for patients in the community, whether it be in a nursing home, residential home or in the patient’s own home. The provision of suitable equipment can assist with hospital discharge and can also help patients to remain independent in their own homes for longer.

The ELMS2 system commissioned by the Trust provides a comprehensive set of easy to use software functions specifically designed to manage their ordering, stores, servicing, and distribution activities. Ethitec also delivered a set of technical, training, and consultancy services to help ensure a successful transition to the new system.

SEHSCT is now the 5th organisation to use ELMS2 in Northern Ireland, following the successful implementation of the system at three other Community Equipment Services which are hosted by the Northern, Southern and Western Health and Social Care Trusts respectively, and also at the Northern Ireland Regional Wheelchair Service.

The One Stop Resource Centre in Sale now live on ELMS2

Ethitec are delighted to announce that the One Stop Resource Centre (OSRC) in Sale, Greater Manchester, has just ‘gone live’ with the company’s ELMS2 software solution. The OSRC is a joint venture between Trafford Local Care Organisation (community health services managed by Manchester NHS Foundation Trust) and Trafford Council. It provides equipment and adaptations to people within the borough who may be recovering from an illness or have a disability to help them live more independently at home.

Their service includes:

  • Assessing people's needs for community equipment, minor and major adaptations.
  • Provision of equipment to prevent hospital admission or get back home as early as possible.
  • Central warehouse supplies and satellite stores in local hospitals to support early discharge during out-of-hours periods.
  • Short-term loan wheelchair service until the patient's own equipment arrives.
  • Advice Line, Triage, and Signposting.
  • Refurbishment services covering delivery, fitting, repairs, and decontamination of equipment.

 

Ethitec’s ELMS2 system has now been fully deployed and will serve as a comprehensive management tool for the OSRC team, supporting their end-to-end operations. Ethitec worked closely both with the staff at the OSRC and the project team from MFT to ensure a smooth and timely transition to ELMS2.

Bury Council ICES has this week gone Live on ELMS2

Ethitec are delighted to announce that the Bury Council Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) has this week gone live on the company’s ELMS2 system.

Bury Council ICES provides a key service to the people of Bury, Prestwich, Radcliffe, Ramsbottom, Tottington and Whitefield to support independent living, timely hospital discharge, and hospital admission avoidance. Encompassing administration, procurement, delivery, collection, decontamination, maintenance, repair and storage facilities from their new premises on the Bridge Trading Estate in Bury, equipment or adaptations are issued to help with the following:

  • Mobility
  • Moving and handling
  • Bathing
  • Showering
  • Using the toilet
  • Access (e.g. ramps, stair lifts, lifts)
  • Pressure relieving
  • Sleeping/ getting into bed

 

Ethitec’s ELMS2 system is a powerful and comprehensive software solution supporting the efficient management of Community Equipment Services, Wheelchair Services, and other areas of NHS and Social Care supplies provision. The system provides integrated functionality to manage the end-to-end workflows of such services across the UK.

Prior to the service going live on ELMS2, Ethitec also provided a range of professional services to the Council, including data migration, training, consultancy, and handholding work, together with ongoing support and system hosting.

Aberdeenshire Joint Equipment Service now Live on ELMS2

After a busy few weeks of activity on both sides of the border, Ethitec are pleased to announce that the Aberdeenshire Joint Equipment Service (JES) has just gone live on the company’s ELMS2 system.

Centred in Inverurie, with a number of fixed and mobile satellite stores located throughout Aberdeenshire, the JES is a community equipment service funded by Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care partnership providing home equipment needs for Aberdeenshire residents. Aberdeenshire currently has a population of circa 250,000 with approximately 100,000 domestic properties.

ELMS2 is a leading software solution that is widely used across the UK, supporting the efficient management of Community Equipment Services, Wheelchair Services, and other areas of NHS and Social Care supplies provision. The system provides comprehensive functionality to manage the equipment stocking, ordering, distribution, maintenance, and recycling processes at the JES. To aid the rollout of the new system, Ethitec also provided a range of professional services, including data migration, training, consultancy, and handholding work, together with ongoing support and hosting.

Ethitec were initially tasked with getting the core system up and running in a short timeframe of just a few weeks in order to ensure continuity with the imminent expiry of the Council’s existing system contract looming. As the dust settles on the ELMS2 go-live, the JES and Ethitec will now be tackling a roadmap of further process improvements, functionality launches and system integration tasks over the coming weeks.

Newcastle City Loan Equipment Service to use ELMS2

Ethitec are excited to report more success for ELMS2 in the North East of England with the news that the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has commissioned their ELMS2 system to manage the activities of their Community Equipment Service.

Newcastle City Loan Equipment Service (NCLES) provides equipment to support adults and children with their daily living and nursing needs in their own homes. Based at the Geoffrey Rhodes Centre in Byker, the Service installs, maintains, repairs, decontaminates and recycles a wide range of equipment to increase the safety and independence of Newcastle residents in their home environments.

The ELMS2 system commissioned by the Trust will provide NCLES with a comprehensive set of easy to use software functions specifically designed to manage the administrative, warehousing, servicing, and distribution activities of the Service. Ethitec will also be providing a set of technical, training, and consultancy services to help ensure a successful transition over to ELMS2, together with secure, high-performance cloud hosting.
