Aberdeenshire Joint Equipment Service now Live on ELMS2

After a busy few weeks of activity on both sides of the border, Ethitec are pleased to announce that the Aberdeenshire Joint Equipment Service (JES) has just gone live on the company’s ELMS2 system.

Centred in Inverurie, with a number of fixed and mobile satellite stores located throughout Aberdeenshire, the JES is a community equipment service funded by Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care partnership providing home equipment needs for Aberdeenshire residents. Aberdeenshire currently has a population of circa 250,000 with approximately 100,000 domestic properties.

ELMS2 is a leading software solution that is widely used across the UK, supporting the efficient management of Community Equipment Services, Wheelchair Services, and other areas of NHS and Social Care supplies provision. The system provides comprehensive functionality to manage the equipment stocking, ordering, distribution, maintenance, and recycling processes at the JES. To aid the rollout of the new system, Ethitec also provided a range of professional services, including data migration, training, consultancy, and handholding work, together with ongoing support and hosting.

Ethitec were initially tasked with getting the core system up and running in a short timeframe of just a few weeks in order to ensure continuity with the imminent expiry of the Council’s existing system contract looming. As the dust settles on the ELMS2 go-live, the JES and Ethitec will now be tackling a roadmap of further process improvements, functionality launches and system integration tasks over the coming weeks.
